Really Cool!

first week of school has been pretty cool. no tutorials, only lectures, which made me go to school at an average of 3 hours per day. now thats cool. lessons were boring though. all those intro things. i ate a lot of ice-cream too.
my time table is good too. got breaks and start at an acceptable time for me.
i have been listening to a lot of Paramore songs recently. i have fallen in love with their new album, Brand New Eyes. Misguided Ghosts, The Only Exception, Playing God, Turn it Off... Well, pretty much the WHOLE album.
i'm also working on a song that i'm familiar with, Swagger Like Us. it was the first song i ever recorded, and now i'm doing a new one, with the voice effects from Garage Band.
i'm preparing for my World of Warcraft Miniature Game Realm Championships which is in a couple of weeks time. i'm planning to join all three qualifiers this time, as i don't want to be sadly disappointed for not making it through the qualifiers like the time during the Nationals. i've built a team based on theory, on how to counter Ice Blocks, Dots, Equipments and all the other irritating stuff. the total honor is already 28, but i think its possible to get that many VP as this scenario is King of the Hill.

Tuesday (13 Oct) went to yi feng's house and watched shawn of the dead, hot fuzz and big stan with jocelyn, allison and ken. hot fuzz was a really goood show.
Wednesday (14 Oct). 4B class outing. amanda, ain, vimalan, alfred, yogi, kai jin, ken and yong cheng came for it. we went to settlers to play some board games. was fun and it was great to see them again. after that, i left with yong cheng and had dinner with ken, yi feng and joey at new york new york.
thursday (15 Oct) celebration of cheng ho's bday. went to ming shuang's condo and held it there. bought cheng ho a soccer ball. he was thrown into the pool too. played games through the whole day.
Friday (16 Oct) met techapon. waited for him at raffles city at comics mart, where i bought 2 Daspien Bladedancer from leck koon. after that, i followed tec to some place where they had the coolest earphones/headphones ever! i tried a $1000+ headphones and almost collapsed. it was soo goood. it felt like the person was singing directly to my ears. stayed there for awhile before heading to suntec for a walk. after that, we had dinner with the turtle gang.

it took them long enough. i'm happy to see the game continuing, even though there won't be anymore figs coming out for this year. it gives me time to save and spend it on something else, which is pretty cool, since most of my spare cash goes to WoW minis. i hope i can wait till' 2010.

on friday, i got my share of the Spectral Tiger. i'm so happy. but half of it needed to leave me as i needed to pay for my G5 (Gwen) yo-yo that i bought in the earlier half of the year.
The Rock is back too. his made an appearance on the 10th anniversary of SmackDown.

i just learned how to use "Auto-Tune" on my Mac. really cool.
and with it, i made my first Rock track, which will appear on my Dark Knights Mixtape.

i really like this fig a lot. but her stats are really terrible. she is neither a Shadow or Holy Priest, so she can't have access to Shadowform or Holy Nova. which is really sad.
her attack is weak (only useful if she crits, but that's hard, since only 3 dices are tossed).
she is a simple low honor fig, which is good.
Gift of Naaru is what makes her special. All Draenei can use this ability.

by looking at it, i can't afford her to use her normal attack, since she has to get pretty close to my opponents. so i've planned to use her for healing only.

so it boils down to how to make her useful with her ABCs and her other two friends.
the first ABC that came to my mind was actually a card that comes with her, Mass Dispel. i dislike DOTs a lot, especially those that come from Mortimers.
to me, her second card has to be an attacking card. its either Smite or Mind Blast. i prefer playing Mind Blast, as it has a higher attack and give me a chance to take out those irritating ABCs that my opponent is using.
Last ABC for her, i plan to pack her with Heal, just for safety measures.

She seems to need a lot of re-rolls as Crits are very important to her and whatever she does is either a Magic attack or a Healing ability. this is where Wrath of Air Totem could be used.
so which Shaman should i play?
i'm playing Prophet Velen. he's a strong fig by himself and Cristia will be doing all she can to keep him alive.
besides Wrath of Air Totem, the ABCs for him are Purge and Chain Lightning.

Last fig for me will be none other that Vindicator Hoodon. he brings a cool ability, which is still unique to him, Devotion Aura. both Velen and Cristia will benefit form this, making their Armor 3 and 2 respectively.
his ABCs will be Flash of Light, Bulwark of Azzinoth and Sulfuras, Hand of Ragnaros. Play Bulwark if you want defense. if not i suggest that Sulfuras would be a better choice.

wednesday (23 September). went out with Kool Kids. played L4D. fun game. at first i was shocked every now and then by those zombie things, but after awhile, they got irritating and i killing frenzy activated in my mind. the more i load my guns, the more i wanna use them.

Thursday (24 September). WoW night. this time, only me and yong teck were there. played 2 games and had a long trash talk on playable teams. since no one else was there, i won 1st place. hahaha. got me another Death Watcher and Jezbella of Karabor.

this week has pretty much been all about me getting WoW minis. cool.

wednesday (17 sep). went to watch Time Traveler's Wife with ken and jocelyn. before the show, me and ken went to plaza sing to shops that sell collectable toys and i saw this X-23 fig that i really want to get. but i didn't. now i'm feeling lots of regret about it. the movie was okay. i liked the story line and how things came together the way it was meant to be. 3 out of 5 stars. ate dinner with them (they watched me rattle) before going home.

Thursday (18 sep). i went for WoW nights. five of us were there. me, ian, yong teck and orange and hansen who organizes this thing. we played the World Championship map and scenario. the map is complicated, no VP points and capture the flag format. this makes it more interesting and way cooler. i used Skeletal Priest, Death Watcher and Deathwhisperer.
first match i was playing against yong teck. he was killing my death watcher so often. he used his flying Conqueror Aluna, daxin and morova.
second match, i played against a double mortimer and Magistrix kiala. made a big mistake with skeletal priest. i shouldn't have used him to attack and should have used his mass dispel to clear all the DOTs.
last match, i was up against orange and his vashj, rethilgore and bog elemental. i won this game. vashj took a big hit from my deathwhisperer and reth was walking with no more than 3 health throughout the game. every time reth re spawns, he gets hits really bad.
