i finally did it! i finally won the wednesday WoW night Battlegrounds! i won all 3 games!

all those weeks of going to SMU to practice has finally paid off. the night sure wasn't easy, as i had to do A LOT of THINKING. i bet i killed a quarter of my brain cells. my first round was against the guy who gave me the win a couple of weeks ago.

the match was real tough. we were both neck to neck in this game. at one point, he cleared all my characters off the field. but i was lucky enough to capture the victory with my bog giving a one hit knock out (by starfire) on elendril. the second round was fun. i remembered my opponent playing moonshadow as she did a starfire on my bog before my bog starfire her. both dice throws proved to be epic failures. later on, he made an attack, with only 1 hit out of 5, but i received it as my 2 dice throws were misses. pure bad luck. i won the game with the help of the VP location from my EFS and the final kill. last round, i couldn't concentrate on the game. i was just too tired. i guess my opponents was too. he made some mistakes, which i was alert enough to exploit. my strom ranger was casting lighting everywhere. this week Battlegrounds was even more special as for the first round, i killed off one of my opponent's characters in 2 ticks (storm ranger and EFS) and i played chain lighting in the round 3 hitting 3 characters in a row.

at the end of everything, i am sure proud of myself and more proud of my amazing team, E3.

the guy who suggested to me to use E3 was there for awhile. i owe him all the thanks and this victory truly belongs to him. 

i won this special mini. Shienor Sorcerer (birdman). its character card is foil and this one is special as it has a silver base with the battlegrounds word on it. its a rare in the next set (spoils of war), so it makes me really happy. with this win, my morale has been significantly boosted and makes me ready for the upcoming realm championship and darkmoon faire.

this is my 100th Post!

i started since Sep 8 2008  and have reached to this high number of posts and i am actually very proud of it. when i started this blog, i had the intention of doing monthly posts, not weekly or even daily. now this blog has a lot of things that concern me. besides the normal posts where i write about what currently is happening in my life, i have posted my lyrics, my weekly WoW nights event, my yo-yo videos and i'm actually looking forward to do more. 

on friday, i went out with my friends of TP. we had our dinner together before heading to the arcade. 

the day before, i got my mac book. i've been playing with it and my brother helped me put all the software things. this is the first post i have done on this mac. 

i am looking forward to the 16 and 17 may as a WoW mins Realm championship is being held at the SMU. and just about a week later (22 to 24 may), there is the Darkmoon Faire! the sad thing is that i wont be able to join the earlier events on 22 may as i will still be studying in school. at least i'm able to join the very last qualifying event of the day, which is at 7 pm. each constructed event costs about the s$25 and sealed is s$45. i hope to at least join i event each. i'm still thinking of the party i want to play and the ABCs. i may still want to go with my infamous E3, however, i may swap my bog elemental for harvest golem. or i just may play a whole new party.

looks like i have to save about (25x3)+45= s$120 for a 3 day event!!!

wah... i better qualify in my first round so i can save the extra s$50 to buy other things. 

yet another WoW night.

only 3 of us turned up. so we headed back to raffles city to have friendly matches. by the way, i lost the one round i played but it was also the first time i used chain lighting to hit 3 characters in one shot. TASTE MY LIGHTNING!!!

On Monday (13 April) I went out to comics mart to get the other bog elemental that I needed and I ended up spending an hour there. I saw 2 games of WoW minis. It was also the first time I saw someone who used an epic (thrall) to win.

on wednesday (15 april), it was WoW night. only 4 people turned up. i guess that the prizes weren't that attractive to the other players any more. my first opponent was against a guy who uses a chen stromshout (its a panda with lots of liquor), bog elemental and another one which i can't quite remember. both our dice rolls were terrible, but his was worse than mine. i won the round with my E3. i lost the second round. i was up against boulder fist warrior, crushridge ogre and frostsaber prowler. the prowler was chasing and killing my storm ranger. so at the end of it all, i came out second. i got a blessing of kings and magma totem.

thursday (16 april) is the day my orientation starts. i met darren and yogi in the morning at macdonalds. we took a bus there and on the bus is were i saw my then-future classmate. the day was boring for me as i didn't mix around (my fault) and that i didn't take part in the activities. during that time, i talked to one of the leaders and she told me that i got to be the top 10% for my course in order to take up another certificate, which in my case would be psychology. i went out to eat dinner with darren at carls junior. 

on friday (17 april), it was the same routine again. met yogi and darren (we took a cab cause we were late) in the morning. again i didn't mix around and by 1215, i was ready to go (got excuse, so i didn't take part in the dragon boat thing). i went back to my secondary school to applaud my mum for getting an award. malan, yogi and me walked to cold storage before going back. 

i got to say, that i'm pretty happy with my school time table. 

best WoW night ever.

it was a 2 vs 2 game, and i used my strom ranger and my newly opened enraged fire spirit (EFS).

i never learnt my mistake though, as my honor was too high. 

my first round was against this guy who was using two moonshadow. he needs 10vp while i needed 15vp. he practically starfire me throughout the game and all my dice rolls for attack and defense happened to fail. so i lost with 5 to 10. 

second round, i was up against gorebelly and the power crazy mage daelas firewing. this round is one that i'm proud of as i made it to 9vp before crumbling to defeat. he told the organizer the results of him winning, but later on he asked for my permission if i could allow him to tell the organizer that i won. i was overjoyed. he told me he didn't need the victory. so its like 1 win 1 lost for me.

the third and final round, i was facing against morganis blackvein and one of the most dangerous characters, haruka skycaller. the vp needed for both of us was close as he needed 14vp. throughout the game, haruka was practically destroy my chracters and blackvein was hitting me whenever he can. when it came to the very last moment, he needed a kill to win while i needed 2vp. it was my turn and i made my storm ranger move to the vp location while my EFS was already waiting there. so at the end of thre round, which is turn 10, i scored the 2vp. this is my third victory since i played the game and i'm very proud of this one. 

2 wins 1 lost.

i guess i was 4th or 5th or 6th in position. but that didn't really matter. 

my prize was boulderfist warrior (some really huge but defenseless ogre) and my first foil, fog of war. 

next week, the games will be back to 3 vs 3. so i planning to use my E3.

i went to watch 12 rounds yesterday with ken. i found the movie better than i expected because i don't really like john cena. i missed the way he used to come out and trash talk and to rain insults on his opponents through his raps. 

after that, we went to raffles city and i bought the other two elemental guys to complete the set. 

aiden just left. i'm quite sad about it. its cool to find out that he likes sponge bob and spider-man. we got lots in common. i taught him the name of one of spider-man's nemesis. the guy's name is mysterio, but i told him that the guy's name was fish bowl. after that, throughout the show, he was calling mysterio, fish bowl. 

things have been rather busy in my life these few days. (friday to monday)

first of all, i want to congratulate the undertaker for defeating shawn michaels at the 25th anniversary of wrestlemania to bring his amazing undefeated streak to 17-0. it concludes that there are three things constant in life: Death, Taxes and the undertaker's undefeated streak at wrestlemania. 

on friday night, i went to eat at changi village with darren, vimalan, kai jin, kenneth, clarence and yogi. the food was okay. after that we crossed some bridge to somewhere and talked. that was pretty much the end of it. except that some of us took the same bus home. 

on saturday, my cousin aiden came over to stay until monday evening. on the trip from his place to mine, he was crying throughout the whole time, asking for his daddy. i felt really sad for this little 2 year old. looking after him was fun and for every toy he touches, he now claims that it belongs to him. hahaha.

on sunday, i went to church and saw jerrold and amanda. 

so its monday today and aiden would only be around for a few more hours.

so i went for my first WoW minis night. its was fun and i got to learn a lot from the other players about team strategy and planning the game play. i was the ultimate loser. i basically got trashed for all my rounds as i did not score more than 5 VP. 

i bought a booster and got the monster facton once again. i got strom ranger, another blindlight murloc and frostsaber prowler. i decided to play the E3, since i had one of the pieces, strom ranger, and i need bog elemental and enraged fire spirit. 

i didn't win anything, but i got a 3 dollars off next week and another game mat. at this rate, i'll never win a game. Hahaha...
