WHOOO!
Projects are over! I'm so delighted. i finally got my well deserved rest last night by sleeping for like 12 hours. the past week has been tough.
my head was cracking and i was tired, making me really paranoid. but hey. it's over.
thanks to all my amazing groups members. without you guys, work couldn't get done.

i've been like sick since 13 july and only these couple of days i've been feeling better. i practically missed the whole week of school. staying at home wasn't fun either. i could barely get out of bed, and i watched precious time seep through my hands like sand. the 'i don't want to go school' feeling is coming back, which is pretty surprising, since i always get that feeling in the first week of school and it took me this long to get it back. my last exams were just a couple of weeks ago, but now a new set of exams is coming.
yep, the feeling sure is back.

thursday (9 july), WoW night again. i was there earlier that day. we talked about onyxia and found out from hansen that it will no longer be in production. which means no raiding for us. he also told us that he received the new battlegrounds kit and we would be able to win them next week. i decided to run a thangal, morova and omedus party this week since i saw how powerful this team was in the realm championship and DMF.

i waited for awhile more before the game started.

round 1, my opponent was Ian and he was using the Horde version of B.I.G (haruka, aleyah and illiana). i had lots of bad dice rolls (more later on) and i could use my one hit kill like i predicted would happen. omedus was killing himself due to the side effect of his mind spike. i lost. 0 win 1 lost.

second round, i was playing against christopher. he used 2 mortimers and a elizabetha cairnwillow. i had to chase the mortimers everywhere and i barely got any kills. this was also my first encounter against a mortimer. yet again, i got epic fails in dice rolls. omedus kills himself! 0 wins 2 lost.

for my third round, bloodhoof, thangal and aleyah were my opponents. i got thrashed in this game. for the third time, my dice rolls were practically all misses. i still get crits for omedus, but usually only two other success and the rest misses. 0 wins 3 losts.

for my last round, i was against the triple mortimer team. this was one of the most difficult game i've ever played. chasing mortimer seems nearly impossible. i had to kill his pets before he comes close to me. with 3 range, it was hard for me to give up. i conceded. 0 wins 4 losts.

deja vu. same like last week. all games lost. for all matches, my dice rolls were terrible for omedus. and i was getting crits when i don't need them at all. 

prizes were given out and i got myself another heroic leap. 

after that, we had a lucky draw. there were 10 of us so a number 1 to 10 were given to each of us. i got 10, which represents crit. so the dice was thrown and it hit something, so the dice was thrown again. guess what? hansen rolled a crit. 

WHHHOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! 

i got the battlegrounds mini Bregina Stoneshiv! its only given to the first place winner. this is also my second battleground mini. so by looking at it, the first position and last position this week got this mini. cool. finally, i got a crit when i needed it. 

to be correct, i have faced just about everyone there is to face here in singapore. but i haven't played against yong teck yet. i hope next week i will get to. 

its been a long time since i talked about yo-yos, but that doesn't mean i'm not into it. i still keep my eyes on what yo-yos are new. this specially applies to my favorite brand yoyo factory (thank you Yo hans!). ever since i played my Grind Machine and Gwen (my G5), i've fallen for yo-yo factory. it gives me a wonderful time playing as the string play is good and smooth and they have hubstacks! so, i kept my eyes on their products, and these next two yo-yos that i'll be typing about have caught my attention for more than 25 seconds.

cool! suits me, since its for 1A playing style and its a metal yo-yo. but i myself may not get it, cause i've got a couple metal yo-yos. i would rather go for a SuperStar or an 888 than this yo-yo (since they have hubstacks).

i will actually buy this yo-yo. i love the grind machine a lot, so i just may go along with this one. and wait! its $48! $22 dollars cheaper than the grind machine! it also has better refinements. and hubstacks. 

nothing in this world is perfect, so yo-yos like this one has its flaws. its ball bearing no longer has the YYF initials. does this mean that the yo-yo ball bearing is of a lower grade? the yo-yo is also made for china, not the USA. 

well, it seems that there are 4 pros (1 is by personal preference) and 2 (lousy, unsupported) cons, i think this yo-yo will be next on my list.

thursday (2 july), was WoW night. i went there to try out my new horde team. it consisted of cairne bloodhoof, morova of the sands and thangal. i thought the team would be could, but i have sadly mistaken. my first match was against a low honor party. i lost due to DOTs on all my figures and bad game plan. second match i was against a savin and 2 phadalus the enlightened party. i was able to work my game playing correctly and managed to kick some characters off the board. my opponent gave timely heals which saved him. he drew my bloodhoof into the open and finished him off and won. i was pretty happy with this round as my next attack would have assured victory for me. 

lesson learned: never get too hasty. 

so i got up and found someone playing a triple mortimer party. 

i hate mortimer. he is just too good to be true. watch me complain on the WoW minis forum.

i went over to my next opponent, and found something very interesting.

HaHa! yes! we are playing an almost exactly same party. the exception is that i used morova and he used aleyah. at the end, he won with a total of 26 victory points, while i got... 0! epic fail. my last game was against ian. he used a goblin shredder, tempest-forge destroyer and one last figure that i can't remember. i won. the prize i received was another spellsteal. i took a cab home with those that satyed at bedok and found out that one of them just lives at the street across mine.  

Friday (3 july). i went to watch transformer after school. i didn't watch it exactly after school. i hanged around with eugene, shayne, kimberly, wei jun, seow hung, ming shuang and cheng ho until about 515 before me, seow hung and wei jun went to watch the movie. 

starscream was really cool. with all that fighting, i liked him even more. my favorite scene was when megatron questioned starscream about not finding him and when megatron talked to the weak looking fallen. i loved it because they were showing 3 generations of decepticons leaders together and starscream defiance towards megatron and his want to lead the decepticons himself.

i wasn't disappointed in anything. well, maybe i was when sam died and he talked to the primes (i found that a little too magical), and that i didn't see starscream betraying megatron (i was really hoping for that at the last part where optimus prime knocked off half of megatron's face. it seemed like the perfect opening for starscream to finish him off. but if they did that, the next transformers movie would be a headache as they would have to find another way to bring back megatron).   

overall, i was satisfied with the movie.
