yesterday [30 may], i went to the library with my friends to study POM. i studied 2 chapters before we headed to tamp. mall to catch a movie. throughout the bus ride, we were doing some finger game thingy, which was entertaining. we got our terminator salvation tickets before heading to ajisen to eat. i pretty disappointed by the amount of food i got. haha. 

bernard would join us [kimberly, me, eugene, seow hung and wei jun] later on.

the movie was alright. it wasn't bad, but it wasn't good either. i didn't like the ending, as they left it in the air for a possible sequel. and they have done that the last movie. i liked Christian bale's acting. he was the john connor i've always wanted to see. 'arnie' was there too. 

my ratings would be 3.5 out of 5. after the movie, i saw henry. he too watched the movie.

we took the train home.

its like my bday tomorrow and its also my first test...

now i know how people feel when their bday is on their exam days. 

i wish everyone the best for their respective exams.

tomorrow onwards [now would be better], i have to really start studying...

on wednesday [27 may], i went to comics mart to meet leck koon to collect my 2 spoils of war boosters. i chose the two heaviest boosters, hoping to open the epic Cairne Bloodhoof. 

i opened the first booster, and was sadly greeted by Crashing Wave-Spirit. he was the one that made the booster heavy. he came along with Wrathguard and Sethekk Talon Lord. 

so i looked over the other booster, thinking that it'll be another Crashing Wave-Spirit. i opened it and took out the cards.
WoW! Cairne Bloodhoof! the tauren leader was mine! the first [and hopefully not the last] epic that i have ever opened! i was so delighted. this guy literally kicks his opponents out off the game. getting a crit could possibly mean that my opponent's character is destroyed! cheap kills!

Hulok Trailblazer and Champion Shadowsun were the other two minis. this is a start to a whole new party. 

today [29 may], is my brother's birthday. Happy BirthDay!

after school, my classmates and i went to the library to finish up our online quiz. once we were done, we were watching youtube. shayne, wei jun, eugene, seow hung, bernard, kimberly, cheng ho, Gabriel and myself went to comics mart [i've been going there a little too much]. they got me Namrah, Ixamos the Redeemed and the power-crazy priest Omedus the Punisher!

with that, i formed a new team and currently working on another.

Cairne Bloodhoof, Mojo Shaper Ojo'mon and Omedus the Punisher is the new party. its kind of like my E3, as its heavy in hitting. even though this new team has a higher honor, the armors and resistances for this team is pretty solid. and best of all, they can give an instant kill with one hit!

Who on earth doesn't want an instant kill?!?

DMF Day 2

well, i actually didn't go for it... haha!

DMF Day 3

i was there very early. i had to wait outside the convention hall for 45 mins, before entering. when i entered, i filled up my party list and found out that only seventeen people made it through the qualifiers. 

when the pairings were up, everyone was given a bye, except for ian and mark tay. they had to battle it out to find out who would be joining the 15 of us, to form top 16. since no one besides them had a match, most gathered around to watch the battle happen. ian was building a haruka X2 and thangal party, while mark's party was savin, bolvar and dizdemona. the match was really long, so overtime was in play. mark won. 

with the end of round one, the listings for round two was up. i was against mark. throughout the game, his bolvar and savin were healing and dealing damage like nobody's business. but i was able to get back on track. our match was long as well, so we had an overtime. at the end of the overtime, we had a tie. however, mark said he won as at the last round, whoever was at the VP location would win. i wasn't sure with that as i thought since my party honor was much lower, i should have won. so we got into a confusion and got help from the judge. so we were asked to recall our steps. but i couldn't recall. it went to a point where whether it was true that mark had 18 or 19 VP. that was really important. we resolved our dispute as i may have made a mistake. so mark won. i was sad, but after a while, i got over it. i was close to win because of my amazing dice rolls and his epic fails of his dice rolls. 

so i went to get a mini repainted. 

i watched the semi-finals round. fu xing was against corle huffman [who would eventually be second for this event]. fu xing put up a fierce fight with his omedus, thangal and morova party. but huffman's party of lady vashj, crushridge ogre and rethilgore proved to be too strong. 

i waited for the event to end before collecting my little death watcher. 

not powerful, but it sure is a collector's item. the base is gold, not like the usual black or the battlegrounds silver. 

the mini i got repainted was none other then my favorite blood elf, aleyah dawnborn. the original paint is on the left, while the new paint is on the right. 

i wanted her to look more holy and a bit like a priest. 

i also bought crashing wave spirit. it now joins the rest of my elemental party to form E5 [the four of them and me]. i'm so proud of myself and my team as we were the only ones still stuck at the core set and that we made all the way to the top 16!

DMF Day 1

earlier that day, i had school. i hanged out with my classmates at the library to kill time. i made a prayer before i left school. i went to the bedok interchange to top up my ez-link card and saw joey. i took the train to city hall and waited for alex. during my wait, i was approached by an ex-convict. he was selling key chains and pens at $10. i didn't have enough for it, as i brought only enough for my DMF competition. so from $10 to $6 to $4. i bought 2 pens for $4. i would be later approached by two of his friends, but i didn't have enough money to buy from both of them. i felt really bad for one of them as he showed me the certificate of his jail term and the picture of his baby that he so dears wants to look after. when alex came, we made our way to suntec city convention centre.

the place was really crowded. they were also having other gaming events. when we arrived at the WoW area, i signed up for the 7 pm qualifier. with time to kill, we walked around.

these are the figures from the first set, coreset. there are still a lot of minis that i want from this set. 

these are from the second set, spoils of war. the head judge edwin came up to me and told me that i won something. i wasn't sure what the prize was, or what event i won. he told me that i won a spoils of war booster from last saturday Realm Qualifier. even though i didn't qualify, i was still one of the top. i was so happy. he would give it to me later that evening. 

thats where i'll be competing. 

there was a WoW competition. i saw a lot of Spectral Tigers.

still waiting, i saw that they were having some audition performance. 

the wait was over, the qualifier was about to begin. the players went to check on the board who they were up against. 

wait a minute. how come Lee Hui Jing Edison has a bye? and whats that suppose to mean?

well, it means that i automatically qualify. AUTOMATICALLY QUALIFY! it happened because we had an odd number of players, and by random, i was selected. Whooooo! 

1 win 0 lost. 

so i had to wait for the first round to end. i played a practice round, but couldn't complete it as the second round was about to begin. 

my second round was against morova of the sands, thangal and omedus the punisher. i played against a similar team during the Realm Qualifier, which i barely won. throughout the game, he was destroying me. but i was able to make a come back, which left him one VP and me one kill to win. he finished off my already injured strom rager. the was tough fought as my next attack would have secured my a victory. 

1 win 1 lost. 

my third round was against a friend of mine, leck koon. he built a party of 3 Marlowe Christophers. i need 21 VP while he needed only 12. the round was very very close. if i missed a success when my rager attacked of of his Marlowe, i would have lost. with my victory, leck koon was out of this qualifier. i wish leck koon the best and that he'll qualify at Day 2. 

2 wins 1 lost.

the third round was long, as we had to wait for my round one opponent and corle huffman. it looked like my round one opponent was about to win. but during the overtime, huffman won. 

fourth round listings were up. my opponent was no where to be found. he must have left as he already had 2 lost. so this means... i won!

3 wins 1 lost. 

i've qualified for the Darkmoon Faire Minis Championship!

and i only played 2 games! there was prizes to be given and the top 4 would receive it. and guess what? only 4 people were qualifying from this qualifier. so this allows me to get away with another booster!

i plan to really sharpen my skills [and to do my homework], so i'll be prepared for Day 3.

i cant wait for DMF tomorrow. i hope i make it to sunday...

yesterday (16 May), i went for the realm championship qualifier. i went for the 4 pm qualifier as i was not able to make it for the 10 am qualifier due to school. i was there at 3 pm, patiently waiting for the thing to start. talk to some people like ian and henry (they both made it to the championship) and i overheard that two people that qualified earlier that day will be joining the 4 pm qualifier to eliminate competition. alex came after a while later. waited a lot more longer until 4 pm, where the head judge edwin told me the qualifier would be delayed. by 445, the games were about to begin. 

my first match was against kelvin tan. he was one of the people who qualified earlier that day. i defeated his team of haruka, omedus the punisher and morova of the sands. the match was tough, but luck wasn't on his side. 1 win 0 lost for my team E3. 

my second round was against michael thanalertvisuti, who was a guy who is from america currently living in thailand. i won because my team were dealing heavy damage and i secured the last 2 vp points i needed. he only managed to score 9 out of the 20 he needed. i enjoyed playing against his team of graccus, boris brightbeard and darlor as his game play was creative. 2 wins 0 lost. 

for the third round, i was against fu xing, whom i have fought against countless of times. we were the only 2 people who had 2 wins, so it was either him or me to qualify first. elendril, phadalus the enlightened and marlowe christophers was his party. he got the 17 vp points that he needed to win my E3. he was already in the championship while i still needed 1 more victory. 2 wins 1 lost.

my fourth round was against the other guy who qualified earlier that day. he goes by the name orange chua cheng zhi. somehow, i feel that he is so screwed up that he couldn't come up with a better name than orange. is it because you are as round as a ball and wearing an orange shirt? i mean, c'mon! there are so many better names! he built a team of ironfur bear, bloodscale wavecaller and lady vashj. within a few turns he already had 12 vp, still a long way for him as he needed 28 vp. so i clawed my way, killing lady vashj once and ironfur bear twice. we were both one kill away, and he manage to defeat my EFS for the victroy. 2 wins 2 losts. i'm not entering.

i felt that i've been stolen of my opportunity of qualifying. all my opponents are qualifying while i'm not. if i qualified, i could beat them. i could destroy them. they shouldn't allow people who have qualified to compete again. it just isn't fair. 

i know i did my best even though the odds were against me. i was the only one who faced both the people who qualified earlier that day.

monday (4 may). thats where all the problems started. late in the evening, i went to parkway to send my mac for repair (my mac was hanging and sometimes the screen becomes like an old spoiled television). spent a real short time filling up the forms, walked around for a while then i went to comics connection. i saw the shop selling Spoils of War (a day before the global release) and i bought it. when i went home, i watched prison break before noticing my fore head burning up. i took my temperature, and the results showed 36.9 degrees. i took it one more time and got 37.1. i went to bed after the show, but only slept a few hours later. my head felt as though it was about to crack open. 

tuesday (5 may), i woke up from a call from my care person. i wasn't sure what she was saying, as my mind was still a blur. i went to the doctor later that day. they took my temperature. it was 38 degrees. getting 'better'. i was the only one with the mask. i was diagnosed with some throat infection. i lazed around for the rest of the day.

wednesday to thursday (6 to 7 may). i take my words back, i lazed around for the next few days. i opened my Spoils of War and got the Alliance faction in it. cool characters, but i was disappointed with my rare nome. its good, but its so small. i missed my WoW night. the mac people called. they told me that my mac had no problems at all. the fault was with the ram. 

friday (8 may), i went back to school. bombarded with things to do. there was so much to catch up on and i had 3 projects to do. the cool part is that i can't remember who i am with for which group. hahahaha. i went to eat with malan, yogi, kenneth and kai jin at fish and co. at the airport. waited for the food for a long time. even for the water i needed to help out my throat. i couldn't sleep the whole night due to the constant coughing. 

saturday (9 may) i went to parkway to collect my mac before heading to orchard to change my ram. when i was there, the place was closed for public holiday....

i've just came back from watching x-men origins: wolverine. the movie was good, but i was sadly disappointed in some parts. the good part was that the fighting was excellent, i liked the fact that it had characters that i never expected would be there (professor x and magneto's son quicksilver) and that deadpool was deadpool. irritating and talkative and easily controlled. the other nice part is that the gave him teleportation (he doesn't have to depend on the stupid machine, like in the comics). haha. the merc with a mouth.

i didn't like the part of the movie where it showed professor x and his future students. the background looked so fake. i also didn't really enjoy the story. it was a real rush. 

overall, i enjoyed it. i'm sure hoping that deadpool will get his own spin off.
